Connections of edges and corners for different types

Explore whether different tiling types can be stitched together.
Probably want to rethink how faces on the edges and corners of tiles are formed
(currently a tile has to know too much about the structure of neighboring tiles ... does it need to be this way?)
Would open up the posibility to create frieze patterns and edge patterns.
