Drupal node has multiple media using the same filename: preservation fails

Given the case where a Drupal node has multiple media using the same filename: should I enhance preservation to account for this (currently it fails)? Or should multiple media not ideally use the same filename in the same Drupal node? The two examples:

• https://v2.cwrc.ca/node/58/media
• https://v2.cwrc.ca/node/57/media ("Student photo" and "Photo of students in a lecture hall")

Unclear how the two items mentioned in the original description were added.

First thought: was the same file uploaded multiple times? Looks like the suffix on the filename differs "_6" versus "_7" for two media associated with Node 57.

Second thought: media have multiple media use designation. Does this cause a problem? Yes.
