Preservation failure: media with zero bytes #29

@jefferya

Description

@jefferya

Alternate cause to #26

LEAF/Drupal when ingesting via Islandora Workbench will intermittently create an unanticipated data structure when the uploaded Drupal media file is zero bytes. The data structure is a metadata placeholder for the media with a link to the Drupal filesystem that is broken (i.e., no file exists) however, this is intermittent as this does not always happen during cursory tests (need to dig deeper).

This is not a LEAF Bagger problem though a consideration may be given to prevent the failure of the object to be bagged in this scenario.

For status updates on the Drupal/LEAF side, see https://gitlab.com/calincs/cwrc/leaf/leaf-base-i8/-/issues/307
