Support for multiple source lines

"It is not (yet) possible to have more than one glossing line."

I’m assuming it's also not possible to have more than one source line?

I was promoting pandoc-ling in our organisation, which works on language documentation. A colleague pointed out that without multiple source lines (e.g. orthographic, phonetic, morphophonemic), she couldn’t use it.

So I just wanted to flag up that there’s a desire for this feature. I’d also be interested to hear if there are any current workarounds.

Thanks for the interest! Actually, the code is quite a mess, and I have to clean it up before I start to add real new features. But multiple source lines as definitively on my radar.

I guess that the multiple source lines do not have to be aligned in any way, right? So they would have to be similar in structure to the language header line, in that they are simple lines without internal structure (the current source and gloss lines are tables internally to allow for the alignment of the words).

I have added a workaround, by allowing multi-line headers. This makes it possible to add multiple lines of text before the interlinear example. These lines are not aligned with the glossing. This might be useful for phonetic or orthographic variants.

The possibility to have multiple aligned glosses is more complicated to include. That will have to wait.

Thanks I will take a look. In the meantime I managed to find an example from my colleague which I'll add as a screenshot to make sure I give it verbatim. The language is Glavda [glw].

From looking at this example I think it would need to be at least word aligned.
