Ptyxis not available on Ubuntu 24 and Debian Bookworm

Hi @czirok !

Amazing work you did on gnomemaui! I wanted to have a closer look but on my Ubuntu 24 and also on my Debian Trixie system I have problems installing Ptyxis from the distribution package. Can you check on your system if it's really a distro package?

I don't know this terminal tool. Do you have some recommendation? Build it myself?

I tried the flatpak on ubuntu but I suspect it wouldn't run well with user privileges. At least it doesn't show my containers.

Please wait for the GnomeMaui update on Monday. I am simplifying the development environment setup, and unfortunately there is also an issue in the last push, I broke it.
It will be fixed on Monday, and NuGet packages will be available as well, with many new features.

I found out the reason why my containers didn't show up after the Flatpak install: "Direct, dedicated support for the Docker daemon is not currently implemented (in Ptyxis)."

Maybe you want to change the dependencies for Debian and Ubuntu to feature the recommended installation method of Ptyxis to Flatpak.

I changed the Ptyxis check in the install script to honor the Flatpak installation btw.:

devenv now supports GNOME Terminal as well. This is configurable starting from the 2026.01.15 release.

Instead of a tabula rasa approach, I used the existing project folder and tried to understand more what's going on, trying to correct my errors. I have sent you a PR with clarifications to the devenv setup markdown.
