ImageGlass won't open images in WSL2 over `\\wsl.localhost`

1️⃣ Steps to reproduce

1. Open windows explorer
2. navigate into some directory in wsl exposed over \\wsl.localhost
3. all image files have a blank/missing icon
4. try double-clicking a .png file
5. See an "Open image with" pop-up that suggest ImageGlass at the top, with only a "Just once" button ("Always" button missing)
6. Clicking "Just once" doesn't open imageglass, just throws up the same pop-up repeatedly.

2️⃣ Actual behavior

See above.

3️⃣ Expected behavior

It would open and You'd be able to browse normally.

It seems to possibly be some different issue because after some time, i re-opened the folder and i got it to open normally.
even the images had icons.
