Feature Suggestion: Implementing PNG Optimization in Media Compression (Alongside JPEG)

Since SD Maid SE already excels at cleaning and JPEG compression, adding a dedicated PNG Optimization module would be a massive value-add for users with large collections of screenshots, app assets, or web-saved graphics.
Engine: libimagequant (the core of pngquant), Oxipng (Rust-based) or Zopfli.
Optional to convert everything to WebP (Lossy)

Not a bad idea, would require pulling in CPU specific/native dependencies though.

Even though it requires native libs, the storage ROI (Return on Investment) for the user is massive. Reducing a 5GB screenshot folder to 1GB is a 'killer feature' that justifies the extra 2MB of JNI libraries.

I'll find some time to try this. I did a quick look and there doesn't seem to be any "ready to use" dependency (only found something last updated years ago), so I'll likely have to build it + add bindings. If I already have to do that, any of the engines would probably be fair game, can you recommend any of them in this context?

libimagequant (v4) for PNG, as that’s where the biggest storage 'wins' are currently hiding on most user devices.
