Aggregate all historical changes into a cummulative diff

I would like to produce a document diff (with insertions and deletions) based on user edits on the document. 
`prosemirror-dev-tools` seems to have all the component and operations to make it happen, it's just I can't seem to find how to do it. Any advice or guidance ?
