[Windows/Cross-Compile] Fixes for pid_t/headers, Build Script Logic & Feature Request: Persistent Fingerprints

I have been working on cross-compiling the Windows version of Camoufox and encountered several blocking issues related to POSIX type definitions, missing headers, and the patch application logic in scripts/patch.py.

Below is a summary of the errors I faced and the solutions I implemented to successfully build the project. Additionally, I have a feature request regarding Fingerprint Persistence at the end of this report.

1. Compilation & Code Fixes
   A. Missing pid_t Definition (Windows)
   Error: error: unknown type name 'pid_t' Cause: pid_t is a POSIX type and is not defined by default in the Windows cross-compile environment (MinGW/MSVC), yet it is used in WebRTC headers included by Juggler. Fix: Added a conditional typedef in juggler/screencast/HeadlessWindowCapturer.h and juggler/screencast/nsScreencastService.cpp.

B. Incomplete Type DrawTarget
Error: error: member access into incomplete type 'mozilla::gfx::DrawTarget' Fix: Added #include "mozilla/gfx/2D.h" to widget/headless/HeadlessCompositorWidget.cpp to ensure the type is fully defined.

C. Missing scoped_refptr.h for Playwright
Error: Patches for Playwright failed due to missing scoped_refptr definition. Fix: Added #include "api/scoped_refptr.h" to juggler/screencast/HeadlessWindowCapturer.h.

2. Build System & Patch Logic Fixes
   I encountered a logical conflict between scripts/patch.py, copy-additions.sh, and git reset.

The Problem:

scripts/patch.py resets the repo (git reset --hard unpatched).

copy-additions.sh copies files from additions/ (overwriting current files).

Then patches are applied.

Issue: If I fix a file in additions/, the patch might fail because the context has changed (or the fix is already there). If I rely only on patches, git reset wipes my manual fixes before the build.

My Solution (The "Double Assurance" Strategy): I modified the files in additions/ to include the fixes (ensuring they exist even if patches fail) AND created a comprehensive patch file.

Crucially, I had to modify scripts/patch.py to handle "Reversed Patches" intelligently. If copy-additions.sh has already introduced the fix, the patch tool sees it as a "Reversed patch" and fails.

Modification to scripts/patch.py: I updated _apply_and_check to inspect .rej files. If the rejection is because the code (e.g., typedef int pid_t) is already present, it ignores the error and proceeds.

3. Feature Request: Fingerprint Persistence / Reuse
Beyond the compilation issues, I have a critical requirement regarding browser fingerprinting.

Current Behavior: Camoufox seems to rotate or randomize fingerprints/canvas noise effectively for evasion.

The Need: I need a way to persist/reuse a specific fingerprint profile across sessions.

Use Case: Managing high-trust accounts where a consistent device fingerprint (Hardware concurrency, Canvas noise, Audio context, etc.) is required to avoid triggering security flags during subsequent logins.

Problem: Currently, when I restart the browser or start a new session, the fingerprint characteristics change. I attempted to implement this but faced stability issues.

Request: Could you expose an interface (via args or preferences) to:

Export the current calculated fingerprint seed/configuration.

Inject a specific fingerprint seed/configuration on startup to ensure the browser identity remains bit-exact with a previous session.

I hope this report helps improve Windows support. I am happy to submit a PR with my changes to patch.py and the header fixes if needed.

Linux builds pass now (you can download yours from the releases), but I have not tested or checked if they launch yet. I hope to officially mark linux builds as functional next week
