We invite excavation projects, researchers, and teams to showcase how you use Field Desktop (iDAI.field) in your work. Whether you've solved tricky documentation challenges, integrated Field into a complex workflow, or simply use it for your digital documentation: we want to hear from you!
Why share?
How to join:
Send us a quick message with a short abstract, describing your project and what you plan to present. You could:
And, of course, you can also just attend and join the discussion.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 29.10.2025
Submit your abstract / registration to: idai.field ;) dainst.de
The event is organized by the Forum for Digital Archaeology and Infrastructure (FdAI). It will take place on Thursday, 4th December 2025 (online). We will begin with a brief overview of the current and planned development of Field. Depending on the number of presentations, we will add workshops and other insights from our side, and plan ample time for discussions and feedback!
While the event is mainly for DAI projects, Field users from other institutions are also very welcome. Feel free to forward this message to colleagues who you think may be interested in participating.
This isn't a conference: it's a digital meetup for Field enthusiasts - a true Field Day! No academic pressure, just practical insights and friendly conversations. We want to meet you, hear your feedback, get to know your projects, and connect users.
All the best

P.S.
If you have not done so already, be sure to sign up for the idaifield2-user-Mailinglist and - if you are a member of the DAI - join our #field-users Channel on chat.dainst.org !
