Would the image endpoint be of any use here? I haven't used Variety before so I'm not sure if it can fetch remote images. |

it can... so this might be done by modifying an existing plugin to use a different URL (like the wallhaven plugin)... hmmm... I might be able to get that going |

I have searched the existing feature requests to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
As a user of a linux distro running XFCE desktop I'd like to be able to use immich kiosk as wallpaper (as I do on a different system running KDE desktop and the HTML wallpaper plugin) for the desktop.
Variety is a wallpaper changer that works with XFCE to periodically download images for desktop wallpaper. It is capable of using Media RSS but it is not able to render HTML.
An obvious constraint here is that the software is only capable of dealing with one image at a time, the user would have to run immich kiosk with the single option (I suspect, or the RSS feed could have an independent "layout" option).
Is this of interest to this project? I'm good if not but thought I'd try here.
