I assume you came across this request when doing your search #167. I did try to add some polyfils but without a complete rewrite Kiosk will not work on older browsers. The only option that will work on such devices is |

I would also love this, but if you're willing to use a hacky workaround, I've just got it working on an iPad 4 using this method: https://www.howtogeek.com/put-old-ipad-to-use-as-home-assistant-dashboard/ It's a proper hack, but was easy to do. |

I have searched the existing feature requests to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
Allow the slideshow to run in (very) old iPads (1st and 2nd Gen)- and of course other stone-age devices.
Background: have a bunch of very old iPads and Samsung tables laying around - was intrigued by the idea of iFramix, their HW is great but the SW is somewhere between annoying (UI design) and useless (crashes arbitrarily or just stops working for no apparent reason) - that was before I migrated all out photos to Immich...
Immich-kiosk is great and does exactly what I need (want) but the frontend code is a bit too 'modern'. So I suggest to amend the code to support old devices - obviously without limiting features on more modern clients.
Have written my last code about 5 years ago... but am motivated to embark on it (unless you stop me ;) !
