GIF conflict - paste GIF image is broken

Potential conflict between paste image functionality, and GIFs

I just went to tenor like I usually do to copy link of gif and paste into damus but now it said if I wanted to upload so I clicked yes and it’s a still image ):

How might we deconflict this unhappy path @scoder1747? Is it possible to support copy paste of GIFs, in addition to static images?

things I've tested:

• pasting a gif image is broken
• uploading a gif image works
• pasting a gif url works fine
• copying tenor links is unreliable due to their hotlink protections

Not really (I think), iOS has shitty support for GIF handling in general, randomly turning them into static images and the likes.

Tenor doesn't offer the copy URL option. The only option seems to be allow some in-app way of finding GIFs and uploading them to the user's media host.
