Description
User Story
As a Damus user that consumes media on nostr, I would like Damus to verify for me that the server has not changed the file hyperlink, so that I do not have someone else's images loading,
Acceptance Criteria
- Damus crunches image hash on file upload,
- Damus detects if image hash has been changed,
- If hash has been changed, image is not loaded,
- A warning is displayed to user: image may have changed.
context
Will:
Damus will have verifiable images soon without all these options. It just needs to download the picture again after it was uploaded (since it could have compressed it, removed tags), calculate the hash, and add it to the backwards compatible image metadata tags.
I dunno why it needs to be more complicated than this.
