Hello, would it be possible to add an auto-reload feature (that preserves the scroll position) when the files being diffed change?

It would be technically possible for the delta file1 file2 call variant, but I think it would be more in the Unix spirit to create this functionality by creating a wrapper script using one of the various file-watcher tools. (I've been using https://github.com/eradman/entr myself recently; perhaps that could be used). This approach would also have the benefit that you could get something working quite quickly whereas I think this might never get added to delta :).

ah yeah, i thought about that. the problem is that i dont think this can preserve the scroll position.

Hm, if there were a way to get less to report its current scroll position then when you re-invoke delta you could pipe it to less +N (or add +N to one of the env vars like LESS). Just thinking aloud.
