Editor not recognizing a change when adding just an Emoji

The editor is not able to recognize a change when the user tries to add an emoji. It works fine if there is any keyboard interaction before of after adding an emoji but for some reason it doesn't seem to work if we just add an emoji.

Accessing Emojis

Regardless of the operating system (OS) used, you will be able to access the emoji picker from the text widget.

• Position the cursor in any text widget you'd like to insert an emoji.

• Hold down the following keys at the same time:
  Ctrl + Command + space (MAC/iOS)
  Windows Key + Semi colon (PC/Windows)

• Click the emoji you'd like to use and it'll be inserted where you left your cursor. Emojis are organized into categories for discoverability.
