internal web-ui support http

Now we cannot use http access web-ui beyond localhost/127.0.0.1 due to Could not locate Subtle crypto.

But desktop, app and browser plugin all support http and works fine.

Is there any other limits beyond security problem prevent web-ui support Http?

BTW, I thinks https should be an option(like most open-source softwares), since most people use vw only for personal use, especially self-hosted vw, https will make installation complex and a little hard in some countries (like china) for personal use
