See https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden/wiki/SMTP-Configuration for how to configure SMTP. Vaultwarden does not require SMTP to be configured.
If you have disallowed signup only people who you have invited are able to register on your instance with the email address you have invited. So given that I don't really understand the question. You can invite but without mail configured there won't be an email that is sent. (And also you don't have to use a Bitwarden Account at all because that is a separate service.) |

I filled in an email address on the invitation user interface, and I don't want this email address to be used to register a Bitwarden account. Can we invite in this situation?
Additionally, I have not received any emails from the email address I provided. Clicking on resend invitation will prompt: STMP is not configured.
I used docker-compose for deployment, and the content of docker-compose.yml follows exactly the content of readme. md. Do I need to configure additional environment variables?
