I'm not sure what that extension does, but Vaultwarden isn't a news site for one.

Second, this project doesn't develop or maintain the web-vault. Though we do make small adjustments to make it work with Vaultwarden though.

Also, since the extension is causing the issues i actually think it is the extension which breaks stuff for some reason, it's hardly to blame on the site in my opinion.

Maybe you can see in the developer console of the browser what is happening and why.
