When running the script the firmware flashing fails:

Looking at the steps in detail the command that fails seems to be:

qmi-firmware-update --reset -d "$deviceid"

I read a similar discussion here that was solved by specifying the usb port rather than the deviceid. However i don't see any dev/ttyUSB device. So i tried:

sudo qmi-firmware-update --reset -w "$devpath" -v

However this also fails:

No idea why the dev/ttyUSB devices are not showing and the device cannot be found during reset.
