PNG output differs from classic PGPLOT

Hi,

I’m using Giza on macOS (Apple Silicon) as a drop-in replacement for PGPLOT, installed via the Homebrew formula.

Most functionality works as expected, but PNG output appears incorrect compared with classic PGPLOT. When running software such as PRESTO, which relies on PGPLOT for its plotting routines, the generated PNGs are blank. The same code built against the original PGPLOT produces correct, visible plots.

Is this a known issue with Giza’s color defaults or PNG backend on macOS?
Would you recommend any configuration flags, environment variables, or build options to make Giza’s /PNG device behave consistently with PGPLOT?

Hi, there shouldn't be any problems here, png output definitely works well for most things. Can you give any more detail about what routines are being called in PGPLOT or what kind of plot is being made? Only thing I can think of is if the application makes use of some of the unimplemented routines in the API. Can you post an example of the plot PGPLOT produces?

Could also be a bug of course, but hard to track what it might be without more details.
