This issue is a placeholder for my ideas and thoughts on improvements a to Handy.

Stuff I need

I need this stuff in the dannys-build branch for Handy to be useable for me.

• Works in fullscreen apps (Show recording overlay in macOS fullscreen apps, and when switching between spaces cjpais/Handy#361)
• fn key and escape work properly (Add support for fn key and Escape to cancel on macOS cjpais/Handy#401)
• Space is inserted after dictated text (Add option to append trailing space after pasted text cjpais/Handy#405)

Nice to haves

• Apple intelligence for post-processing (Apple intel integration cjpais/Handy#391)

Features

• Proper documentation covering settings_store.json, the debug screen and post-processing config. Intended for humans.

Dev features

• Developer docs in docs/developer (see tauri-template for examples)
• Better bun run check command
• Unit tests
• Add knip, jscpd and ast-grep with suitable rules.
• Switch to React Compiler
• Improve AGENTS.md etc
