Resizing a UI panel works normally until it makes the image be a minimal size(?) then it keeps expanding toward the outside of the window, past the window size

1. Open an image
2. Grab the right panel's resize bar
3. Drag it to the left

Expected behavior

Image should keep getting smaller

Can you reproduce with another darktable version(s)? I tried 4.0.0 and 4.2.1 and neither started so who knows
Can you reproduce with a RAW or JPEG or both? this is a PNG i think
Are the steps above reproducible with a fresh edit (i.e. after discarding history)? yes
Is the issue still present using an empty/new config-dir (e.g. start darktable with --configdir "/tmp")? yes

ok I can't repro this on the big display (1440p) but it happens on any image on the small one (1600x900):

We also observe that the thumbnails on the bottom move which indicates to me that the panel growing makes the whole whole viewport expand to the right.
