I suspect that #2993 is just one of many issues.
We should make all temp directories in all tests in all packages use a space in the directory name. Some things to look for:
Directory.systemTempDirectory.systemTemp.createTemptempDirForTestinTempDirWe'd love contributions on this one. If you have a windows machine, and you like suffering... 😅
