Include Registered DOI metadata #24
Description
Since users who have access to the monthly data file are DataCite members, they already have the ability to read the metadata for Registered-state DOIs (including those of other members) from the REST API. If these users have use-cases that would need Registered-state record metadata (e.g loading their own records into a local system), they would not be able to use the monthly data file to do this.
By providing metadata for Registered DOIs in the monthly data file, we could meet these use cases and drive adoption of the data file as a functional alternative to the REST API.
A small amount of work would be required to add a flag for the yearly file generation which excluded these records from the publicly accessible version of the data file provided yearly.
