Log a specific event on a dashboard graph?

Hi.

We've started using Traces to track performance and count certain events. What I'd like to do is mark a specific event as a "release" so we can compare the heatmap before and after this event and see if a release changes the graphs significantly. I don't mind doing it manually in Seq but if we could link it to a specific log line that'd be amazing.

So something like this teal line that just gives us a before/after:

Is that possible?

Thanks for the suggestion/feedback, it's good timing, we're investigating some options in this area as part of the metrics work slated for 2026.x this year.

There's no mechanism for adding markers to charts right now, but we expect that the 2026.2 update will unify some of the events/dashboards/metrics functionality, and we've added this to that milestone.
