Yes, things are progressing, I have almost caught up to where I was with SFML using the new SDL2/Imgui stack.
I'm going to start working on Combat soon.
And what I will do initially, in order to make life easier when developing, is add a "Training Pit" feature to the Edge of Town where parties can harmlessly fight summoned encounters. Two modes: 1/10 XP or whatever compared to the real thing, but optionally no chance of Death. And a full on mode, like the real thing. No loot, no gold, just XP.
I intend to set it up so that you choose an encounter typical of 1 of the 10 dungeon levels.
This will allow me to develop the combat side of things quickly, and I'll probably keep it in the final game, as its a nice quality-of-life feature to have.
