Keyboard clicking in a new tab

It would be great if I could use keyboard clicking (really a use case for me after many of the other browser extensions that support this disappeared) to open a link in a new tab.

Maybe a modifier even like Shift, could be good enough? i.e. if the thing is typed in all caps, open in a new tab/background tab.

I'm assuming the behavior you want is to open the link in a new active (foreground) tab. Would you also want the possibility to open in a new inactive tab? I'm thinking that for ergonomics it's probably better if just the first letter must be uppercase for that behavior.

I'm not using it anymore at the moment, but I feel it would be nice to have a keyboard navigable browser extension after all of the others died. Do you know of a current one that's not necessarily coupled to voice driving?
