Sofar ME3000SP: Control battery (dis)charge #504

Hi, First of all: great add-on! I was struggling with building a Sofar2MQTT device to connect to my retrofit Sofar ME3000SP battery inverter, got into trouble with my device not working/communicating readable modbus signals at all, upon I discovered this great tool which works like a charm and gets you up and running (if you pick the right profile) in just a few clicks! No more soldering and integrating and getting frustrated about things not working to communicate with the inverter :-) So readings are fine now, I see data coming in into the sensors and added them to both the general Energy dashboard as well as the real-time visualisation with Power Flow Card Plus. Now I would like to control the thing in order to:
Therefore, somewhere in my automation, I would like to set the inverter to charge/discharge at a certain power for a certain time, and then switch back to normal mode of operation. In the inverter documentation, I saw you should use "passive mode" for that, but I have no idea how to set the charge/discharge power that way. Also, when charging my car, I would like to put the inverter in "battery save mode" so it doesn't discharge but only charges when there is more surplus power. Is this possible with this integration? I didn't find that mode. Thanks! |

I’ve only occasionally been able to get this to work. And when it does work it stops after a day or so. It’s acting like there’s a set of temporary registers that need to be synced with the working registers. I only say this because some other Sofar inverters do this. But there’s nothing about it in the ME3000SP detailed docs. I’m not aware of anyone who’s been able to get this to work properly using HAss (although it must be possible, because other people have managed it using standalone scripts). |
