Device info matching through unset serial number #833

When adding a Modbus RTU device the config flow seems to overwrite the existing device. In my case Inverter 1 has been added and is reading values. I then click "Add Device" and setup Inverter 2. This creates Inverter 2, but changes the device under Inverter 1 to Inverter 2. 
It does create sensors but it updates sensor.inverter_1_XXX to be sensor.inverter_2_XXX and then for Inverter 2 creates sensor.inverter_2_XXX_2. 
Anything to clear out before I file a bug report? This was working fine under TCP when using my old solarman sticks. Now just using a modbus bridge. |

Hi @jtubb, can you please provide a debug log from adding the second device? Try to reset it to original setu (remove all devices and add only first). Then enable debug logging and try to add second device and then after it gets messed up disable debug logging and attach the log here. |

Realized I was on an old version for testing in the previous log. Here is the log from latest release. Inverter 1 was setup and I clicked "Add Device" to create Inverter 2 . Config flow wanted to call the device Inverter 1. Changed it to Inverter 2. Still ended up with only Inverter 2 with the same sensor naming convention from the original post. |
