Duplicate sandboxes entries in dashboard view #3485

Describe the bug
On some occasions, the sandboxes view in the dashboard shows multiple duplicate entries for the same sandbox.
To Reproduce
There are no reliable steps to reproduce the behavior.
Additional context
The likely cause is that there is a flaw in the way how sandbox events received via the notification socket are handled in the dashboard application.
