Problems loading more than 20 items from queue sample php page

I've set up a test example page http://w3.manukau.ac.nz/wwwmobile/jqm-lazyloader/test_lazyloader_eg_v5.html , and having problems accessing the rest of hardcoded json items, from your sample queue php page. After I retrieve 20 items, the firebug 'net' tab shows that the ajax request has successfully returned 'playlist-index=30' i.e. items 30 to 39, but this never gets appended to the listview and the scrollbar, on the my desktop browser (firefox) has scrolled to the bottom of the page.

I've also tested on my samsung galaxy note 2, using chrome, with the same result.

Just to follow up above. This seems to be an issue when using post and retrieving json via ajax on the same server.
I tried retrieving data from a different domain via jsonp and this worked properly.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I just wanted to check in with you to see if you got it working. Your test page above seems to work. Is that using POST or JSONP? Also, have you tried listening for some of the events the lazyloader triggers to see if you can track down where it's failing? If the POST in indeed still now working, please update your test script so it exhibits the issue you mentioned. Then I can take a look and try to offer some suggestions.

Apologies, I've posted the working example by mistake, The problem appears when I was using the sample data (which most likely was an error on my part!).

I'm wanting to put a limit on the amount of listview items I can retrieve, as I'm bringing in rss json feed with article content which I need to restrict for memory management.

Can I use the lazyloader events to do this on my page , or will I have to add in a check block e.g. this._instances[this._settings.pageId]['options'].retrieved < this._instances[this._settings.pageId]['options'].limit at the beginning of the _load function? It would be nice if I could notify the user when this limit event occurs. However I'm not that familiar with jquery UI plugin development.

Hi Todd,
Those sample files were just a first pass at providing some kind of example PHP code. So, you shouldn't assume it's an error on your part. I've been meaning to improve them.

So, you are looking for a way to put a limit on the number of articles that can be pulled in from the RSS feed? That sounds like a useful enhancement. In the meantime, there might be a way to do it externally using the lazyloader events. I'll take a look at the code and get back to you.

Hi Todd,

I added a new limit option along with two new events. The first event is triggered as soon as the limit is reached. The second is triggered for every subsequent attempt to load more after the limit has been reached. That will give you the option to just notify your users once, or every time they try to scroll down for more. I also added an error condition at initialization that will be triggered if you set limit less than retrieved (i.e. by default more items will be showing than the limit). I'll upload a .dev version of the lazyloader tonight when I get some time.

Does that sound like it will accomplish what you were trying to do?
