✅ FIXED: Listening Practice Now Visible!

What Was Fixed

Problem

  • Window was too small (800x700) - content was cut off
  • No scrolling - couldn't reach bottom sections
  • Listening Practice section was hidden below visible area

Solution

✅ Increased window size to 900x950 pixels ✅ Added vertical scrolling to see all content ✅ Made window resizable - you can maximize it!

🚀 How to Start (Updated Instructions)

Step 1: RESTART the Application

IMPORTANT: You MUST restart to see the changes!

# Stop the old version first (Ctrl+C or close window)
# Then run:
cd /home/developer/rust/paddle_decoder_cross_platform
./paddle_decoder_linux_amd64

Step 2: The Window is Now Bigger!

The application opens at 900x950 pixels and you can:

  • ✅ Resize it manually (drag corners)
  • ✅ Maximize it (click maximize button)
  • ✅ Scroll down to see ALL content

Step 3: Find the Training Section

SCROLL DOWN if needed (use mouse wheel or scrollbar) until you see:

Step 4: After Clicking "Enable Training"

You will now see:

Step 5: Click Listening Practice

Click the [🎧 Listening Practice] button and you'll see:

💡 Click 'Play Morse Code', listen 
   carefully, then decode it with 
   your paddle

🎯 Complete Workflow

1. Enable Training

Scroll down → Click [Enable Training]

2. Select Mode

Click [🎧 Listening Practice]

3. Practice

1. Click [▶ Play Morse Code]
   → You hear: ".-" (dit-dah)

2. Send with paddle: DIT-DAH
   → Your text appears in "Decoded Text" section

3. Click [Check Answer]
   → See: ✓ RIGHT! (green)
      or: ✗ FALSE (red)

4. If wrong:
   → First time: Code replays automatically
   → Second time: Shows correct answer

5. Click [Next Item] → Repeat!

📐 Window Sizes

Default (Recommended)

  • Width: 900 pixels
  • Height: 950 pixels
  • All content visible with scrolling

Minimum

  • Width: 700 pixels
  • Height: 600 pixels
  • Use scrollbar for full content

Tips

  • Maximize window for best experience
  • Scroll down to see training section
  • Use mouse wheel to scroll easily
  • Drag corners to resize as needed

✅ Verification Checklist

After restarting, verify you can see:

  • Window is larger (900x950)
  • Can scroll with mouse wheel
  • Can resize window by dragging corners
  • "Enable Training" button visible
  • After enabling, see both mode buttons:
    • 📝 Sending Practice
    • 🎧 Listening Practice
  • Click Listening Practice
  • See "▶ Play Morse Code" button
  • See "Check Answer" button
  • See "Next Item" button

🐛 Troubleshooting

Still don't see Listening Practice?

  1. Did you restart?

    • Close the OLD application completely
    • Run the NEW paddle_decoder_linux_amd64

  2. Is Training Mode enabled?

    • Look for "Disable Training" button
    • If it says "Enable Training", click it first

  3. Try scrolling:

    • Use mouse wheel
    • Use scrollbar on right side
    • Content might be below visible area

  4. Maximize the window:

    • Click the maximize button (□)
    • Or drag window corners to make it bigger

  5. Check window size:

    # Should be version from 19:19 or later
ls -lh paddle_decoder_linux_amd64

Window too small on your screen?

  • Maximize it: Click maximize button
  • Resize it: Drag corners to any size you want
  • Scroll: Use mouse wheel or scrollbar

🎉 Success!

You should now see: ✅ Larger window ✅ Scrollable content
✅ Both practice modes visible ✅ Listening Practice fully functional
