I tried

     matchExpressions:

with same version and got:

Please add a simple example file which provides the behavior.

Also please ensure that you are really using yaml editor plugin - Eclipse pdates (unfortunately) replace the defined associations between editors and file types with their own defaults.
But you can check this by the editor icon inside the tab - or open with "Open with" context action.
