Select directories to scan #1636

Hello, I have installed and configured the application. It seems amazing, but there is a feature that I'm missing. Currently, Aves is scanning the whole device, therefore collecting photos I don't want and even thumbnails from other applications. I saw that there was a discussion about this three years ago (#134), and I would like to know if this has changed and if there is a list of directories to scan now. I haven't found such a thing in the settings. Actually, in the privacy settings, I see that there is a tab "Hidden elements" (translating from another language) and tab "Storage acess". From what I understand, the second tab is about giving permissions to edit file, as opposed to the read-only permissions. This is not what I want. The tab "Hidden elements" serves to hide a set of paths from the scanning algorithm. This is the opposite of what I want. I could maybe make a workaround using the hidden elements, and perhaps this is a bug, but I don't see any "+" button to add a path to the hidden elements, as mentionned in some issues. Is this normal ? My device is a Samsung S9 FE. |

Right, there is no path whitelisting. Only blacklisting.
To hide paths, you can go to the Usually, blacklisting is enough to not need whitelisting. But if that does not work for you, please provide more details with specific examples. |
