Some urgently important suggestions about Dectalk

Hope you are doing well.

I have some really important suggestions about the Dectalk project you're working on.

1. Please add a pronunciation dictionary. I don't just mean to import/export words, but to also add words. Dectalk mispronounces words like Sapi e.g. it says saypi. So it'd be good to correct them.
2. 2. Due to google's new sideloading rules, it's going to be increasingly difficult to sideload apps, and not everyone will feel comfortable with doing AADB, indeed some people might find it difficult. I think the easiest way to do this would be to put Dectalk on the play store.
3. 3. Please make a 64 bit version of Dectalk for windows, not just as a Sapi 5 exicutible, but also as an NVDA addon. I know there is a Sapi 5 Dectalk, however, it's 32 bit unfortunately. I have heard a 64 bit dll for Dectalk does exist? In that case maybe you could modify it to work with a Sapi 5 engine?
4. If you could also do bestspeech keynote gold for android, I'd be very greatful.

I'd like to note a few things:
For NVDA, SAPI5, and dictionary editing, please create individual issues for these, doing so makes tagging and tracking the implementation of features much easier for those of us working on the repository.

Additionally due to licensing concerns playstore distribution is complicated and is likely out of scope, we may be able to look into getting a verified developer account to make it installable same as before though.

For keynote gold, the lack of source code makes this impossible unless it can be provided.

IOS is unlikely unless someone with a macbook is willing to work on an IOS port, as MacOS is a requirement for IOS development, and alongside the $100/year developer fees, this is financially not feasible at the current time.

I've been looking up stuff about app development and I thought there were ways to develop iOS apps without a macOS device, like with the swift compiler for Windows and other things, I need to look into that more as I'm considering getting into that stuff.

yes, you can compile swift code on Linux and Windows, but you can't compile that swift for IOS because it requires the Xcode toolchain which is proprietary and only available on MacOS, specifically it's the missing IOS SDK in addition to swift that you'd need which is only MacOS available

Well, can't we spread the word around?

Surely somebody does own a mack book, an i pad or an iphone, and would be willing to join the team. Certainly worth sharing in my opinion.

Also, how about the pronunciation dictionary? When will that be added?

well we could search for somebody to join the team with a MacBook, but we still have the developer subscription fees which make it difficult unless we have money, which i personally, do not.

and for the dictionary work, the underlying engine supports it well, it's just a matter of designing a suitable GUI for the dictionary features and re-implementing the dictionary compiler for the app, implementing the dictionary compiler should be doable, but the GUI may take longer, as I'm primarily a backend dev.

but if you create a github issue dedicated to the request of the dictionary system, i'll start looking into it.
