Latest Docker Image security issues

The docker image that gets pull down from the registry produces a lot of CVES of high and critical severity.

Most if not all of these stem from using depreciated versions of golang and alpine.

I know the Dockerfile in the repo gets version updates but are there any plans to update the image in the registry?
