Description
First, I can't thank you and/or your team for all the hard work taking this project over. I use it almost every day and cannot wait for 2.0 with premium features. I have Autodesk Manufacturing that includes Inventor Nesting, and deepnest is by far a more user-friendly and robust nesting software.
Describe the bug
I just recently upgraded to a new rig and have noticed when starting a nest (any nest so far) deepnest generates only one nest, but it looks like it continues to attempt to generate more. No matter how long I let it run, after the first nest, the progress bar reaches about 75% very quickly, stops for a couple of seconds, and then starts over.
If I remember correctly, running deepnest on my old computer would generate multiple nests as long as I would let it run. At the point the nest was manually stopped, I could then choose the best nest and export.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: Windows11
- Browser: Chrome 143.0.7499.41
- Version: deepnest 1.5.6
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285
- RAM: 32GB DDR5
- Graphics: MSI GeForce-RTX-5070-Ti-16G
DEBUG information
Sorry, I could not get the 2 debug windows to open with the provided instructions below.
Open a new shell within the deepnest app folder.
Set a temporary environment deepnest_debug=1 on windowns you can type: $env:deepnest_debug=1 on mac and linux export deepnest_debug=1 this should open 2 debug windows when you start now the deepnest-v*.*.* binary within the shell. Please provide the content from the shell and also the content from the console tab of the debug windows. please note, the debug windows for the background will go if you press stop on the deepnest nesting gui.
