Mouse input issues with Logitech G502

I has having issues with my Logitech G502. Mouse input would randomly jump, it was slow, and there would occasionally be unwarranted clicks. When I used a simpler, older USB mouse, I did not have such issues.

This issue: #6 advised adding usbhid.mousepoll=0 to the end of /boot/cmdline.txt.

I found that usbhid.mousepoll=0 was already there out of the box. When I removed it, my mouse worked perfectly.

It seems that usbhid.mousepoll=0 may improve latency but may cause compatibility problems with some mice.

I request that the documentation and/or user interface should call this out as a potential fix for some issues.

note that you will also have to disable this code which will restore usbhid.mousepoll=0 when the device restarts:
