Missing images on community page

In the "Your guide to Events and Conferences" the images for the different events are missing. See screenshot.

Seems like it's getting a strict-origin-when-cross-origin error when requesting the image due to the policy on the google server hosting the image:

Did this ever used to work? We could just load the default image in all cases or omit the images?
