Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the “Software”), to use, copy, modify, and run the Software for personal, educational, or non-commercial research purposes.

Conditions

  1. Non-Commercial Use
    The Software may not be sold, sublicensed, or included in any product or service for commercial purposes without prior written consent of the copyright holder.

    Commercial Use includes any activity that generates revenue, whether directly (through sales, licensing, or subscriptions) or indirectly (through advertisements, paid services, or SaaS offerings).

  2. Revenue Sharing Clause
    If the Software, or any derivative thereof, is used for Commercial Use:

    • A revenue-sharing agreement must be executed with Cavira OSS prior to any commercial distribution, deployment, or release.
    • Any Commercial Use without such an agreement constitutes a violation and immediate termination of this license.
    • Termination does not release the violator from financial obligations related to unauthorized use.

  3. Redistribution
    Redistribution of the Software in source or binary form must include this License and retain the above copyright notice.

  4. Attribution
    Any public use, demo, or published derivative of the Software must clearly visible in user-facing materials (UI, docs, or product website) Cavira OSS as the original author.

  5. Termination & Liability
    Any violation of these conditions results in an automatic termination of this license.
    Upon termination:

    • The violator must immediately cease all use and distribution of the Software.
    • The copyright holder retains the right to claim damages, revenue share, or full profits earned from unauthorized commercial use.
    • Termination does not release the violator from financial obligations arising from prior or ongoing violations.

  6. Partial Use
    This License applies to the Software in whole or in part.
    Use of any portion, snippet, or derivative work of the Software in a commercial product or service constitutes Commercial Use and is subject to the same revenue-sharing and permission requirements.

This license is source-available for community use but enforces a revenue-share requirement for any commercial activity.
