Description

Full rich text editors (the CKEditor that allows the editor to add headings) should rarely be used. It more easily introduces heading violations into content which are an accessibility issue.

Currently 2 full rich text editors are being proposed for the Introduction page. However based on the suggested content, headings are not need for this small amount of content that would be need and therefore these should be Limited Rich text fields.

Recommended action

  • Change the Full rich text editors on the Introduction page to Limited rich text editors
  • Ensure that any other rich text editors that are added and Limited unless headings are absolutely needed
    • If headings are needed and a Full text editor is added, add help text to assist editors in avoiding heading violation errors
