High Level User Story/ies

As a VA.gov team member, I need the GI Bill Comparison Tool migrated to Amazon EKS using AL2 images to ensure the application remains secure, stable, and compliant with the latest VA security mandates.

Hypothesis or Bet

If we migrate the GI Bill Comparison Tool to EKS using AL2, then we expect increased security and stability, reducing potential vulnerabilities and aligning with current security standards.

Definition of Done

  • The GI Bill Comparison Tool is fully migrated to Amazon EKS.
  • All instances of the application use AL2 images.
  • All relevant documentation is updated to reflect changes and new practices.
  • Deprecation of old infrastructure, if necessary, is completed with documented rationale.

Success Metrics

  • Successful deployment of the GIBCT on EKS without significant downtime or disruptions.
  • Compliance with security assessments post-migration.
