General question on development

Hi All;

While I appreciate those people who put effort into building this card up, I am constantly surprised by the constant updates.

To me that indicates no prior planning and poor coding. Just release and hope. The fact the latest is. 7.25.x is an indicator.

I've still yet to get two-way audio working with a doorbell camera despite identical configuration to online demo's and docs that actually feature my camera.

Page resizing to suit my mobile devices isn't working, which I thought would of been a fairly simple thing.

Can I ask; is there a roadmap for this card, or an end goal at least? Or just constantly adding / patching stuff?

Please see this FAQ entry. You are welcome to disable the notification for new releases, but users are split on whether this is good / bad. This developer is not split ;-) This allows features and fixes to get into the hands of users as soon as possible, and I strongly prefer this model. I do not plan to change this.

Respectfully, I think this is unfair:

• All fixes / features are "self-contained". There is no "patching". There are just occasionally frequent releases.
• This is a hobby and a passion project. I have very little time, and zero obligation, to invest in this. I try to fix issues impacting multiple people, or features that I think sound interesting to me or that many people vote for -- respectfully: your expectations are just incorrect.
• Despite a 2+ year old pinned issue asking for more assistance, I have written almost every single line of code in this project. If you would like to have particular issues prioritized, I'd encourage YOU to work on them. I would love to help you review and support you.

I am sorry you are having issues. Have you filed them, or do they already exist in the backlog that you want to draw my attention to? Or, preferably, attempted to fix them yourself? If your answer is "No", again, your expectations are just incorrect.
