UI starts too low #1789

@leannapancoast

Description

@leannapancoast

Steps to reproduce

  1. Unlock phone
  2. Open an app that requires text input (ie Messages)
  3. Tap into the text box to open the keyboard
  4. Keyboard spacebar will be below the bottom bar that contains the 'switch keyboard' button and 'hide keyboard'
  5. Typing any letter will move the keyboard up to the proper area, and it will stay in proper area on future keyboard options. Seems to reset to bad behavior when switching between the inner screen vs the outer screen.

Expected behavior

The keyboaod should always appear above the bottom bar, so there's always access to the space bar and enter bar

Actual behavior

Keyboard spawns too low and prevents pressing the space bar

version of the program

many

Android version

Android 16

Device

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 SM-F956U1

Other details

Typing any letter will move the keyboard up to the proper area, and it will stay in proper area on future keyboard options. Seems to reset to bad behavior when switching between the inner screen vs the outer screen. If see the keyboard in bad state, can close app and reopen to put keyboard into good state.
