🔴 Uptime: Create-link (synthetic) is down

Two consecutive uptime checks for Create-link (synthetic) (synthetic) have failed. See docs/STATUS.md and the uptime workflow run.

Status check on this one, since it has sat open since 2026-07-31 with no comments.

It cannot resolve itself either way right now: the scheduled pinger in .github/workflows/uptime.yml is commented out (# schedule: - cron: "*/5 * * * *"), and the last uptime run of any kind was 2026-08-18. So nothing has re-tested the create-link synthetic since well before #181 landed, and #181 is exactly the change that fixed the synthetic check's missing auth and cleanup (issue 8.9).

In other words, this incident may well have been real when filed and fixed since, or may still be real — there is no evidence either way while the pinger is off.

#185 re-enables the schedule, so the first run after that merges settles it. Leaving it open until then rather than closing on an assumption.
