I am not completely sure, how you are accessing magento, so far I can understand your code, you are accessing magento soap api and presenting your clients as a laravel rest api. I think this is a time consuming process.

To be honest I haven't worked on this project for a while, and it's more of a PoC, but that said speed shouldn't be an issue because the idea, which I admit is something of a "niche" need, is to setup a read only copy of your main Magento DB, and then setup Laravel and this module to use the Magento DB for reads. I used this for a situation where we need a much faster and much easier to modify database to access things like product data, sales data, etc, via REST api.
