yes multiple servers (radios) can be used by multiple clients at the same time. Multiple clients can listen to the same radio. A "gatekeeper" ensures that only one can transmit at any time (first come, first serve).

That's what I thought. The problem I've encountered is - one of the clients manages to select the radio to listen to, for all the clients.
Scenario - radio servers A and B, each running ra nats server. Client C and D, long separated from each other are running ra nats client. Client C selects radio A audio stream. Client D hears A. Client D selects B. hears B, client C now hears B also.

Maybe I understood this wrong. So, what you describe is a actually unintended behavior, right?
By design all clients should have the exclusive control over the radio they are listening to.

Correct. A "Master" mode where radios are assigned to clients remotely hasn't been a use case. If they are in the same LAN, you could at least mimic this feature by calling the REST API of each client.

How does the REST API differ than using a specific client web page? Maybe my example wasn't clear - client C uses his local web page to select a radio; client D does the same - his local web page, selecting a different radio.

The WebUI just calls the endpoints of the REST API.

I'm still not sure if you have found a bug or if you try to use remoteAudio in an unintended way.

Attached is a detailed picture of the config I tried ot get working at K6MTU. The issue seen is - if either K6UFO, or K6TD selects one of the two servers, both clients get that audio. If a client goes to the web page for that client, and switches audio, the audio selection is switched for both clients.
K6TU suggested separate NATS servers (and bit of scripting to switch NATS).
Any thoughts?

K6UFO and K6TD use the web interface of their own instance to select the radio they want to listen to, right?

All clients should be able to select only for themselves (on their respective client instance :9090) the radio they would like to listen (and transmit) on. This should not affect the selection of any other user.

Hi Kevin,

I just tried to reproduce your setup with two radios (servers) and two clients. I can confirm that here everything works as intended. Each client can select on his web interface the radio he wants to listen. Changing radios on one client doesn't affect the selection of the other client.

I suspect that you might have used the web interface client1 to select the audio stream of client2?
