dhall-to-cabal is marked broken in nixpkgs

I just tried to check out dhall-to-cabal as part of my deep dive into nix. During this, I noticed that dhall-to-cabal package in nixpkgs is marked as broken.

I'm sure there is some way to work around this, but can we fix it anyway? I looked into it for some time, but my nix-foo just isn't strong enough.

I had a look into this. I am sure this is fixable. But the dhall-to-cabal version bounds in the released version on hackage are much to old. For this to get fixed we would need at least a newer release on hackage. Would be a shame if this package went stale.
