Support for "no challenge" challenge?

Is there any way to support the challenge "no challenge", where you register a private key with the CA using your credentials and use the private key moving forward from that point to authenticate?

Still reviewing code, will amend if I find a way to support this in the existing code?!   Just did not see anything obvious.
